Curriculum Vitae

Research Abstract

My research interests lie, in general, within the philosophy of language and metaphysics, as well as epistemology. Within the philosophy of language, I am interested in some of the thornier questions surrounding propositional attitude contexts, empty names, and de re belief, as they arise within Direct Reference and Millian theories of semantic content. Within metaphysics, I am particularly interested in questions of ontology and the mind/body problem, as well as theories of abstract objects. In addition, I have longstanding interests in both the philosophy of religion and the philosophy of physical cosmology, as well as a burgeoning interest in the history of analytic philosophy.
