My interest lie within philosophy of language, logic, and metaphysics. Within these areas my interest is broad, but I tend to focus on discussions surrounding direct reference and problems that arise for such a theory, e.g. empty names, de re belief attributions, and de re modal statements. I'm also interested in the overlap of these three areas. I'm considering issues such as how ontology affects a semantic theory, primarily when we consider abstract objects or fictional characters.
