In whatever little spare time I have, I like to spend time doing anything with my wife, cooking, and baking breads.
I am interested in the connection between everyday speech and traditional models of meaning. Specifically, I study expressive and other non-literal speech (e.g., slurs, sarcasm, metaphor, moral judgments, taste judgments) and how the content of those speech acts relates to traditional models of semantic content. This line of research allows me to broach some topics in metaphysics, metaethics, logic, and philosophy of mind.
