I enjoy a couple of normal hobbies of football and fishing, and one abnormal hobby of knife collecting, sharpening, and metallurgy.
I am currently most interested in questions surrounding the nature of mental causation and mental properties, specifically in the context of discussions involving supervenience, realization, and various reductionist projects as attempts to state the nature of the relationship between the mental and the physical. A second and closely related area of interest is the question of how "higher-level" physical properties relate to "lower-level" physical properties and the consequences for our view of the relationship between the "special" and the hard sciences.
