I graduated from Dartmouth College in 2004 with an A.B. in Philosophy and earned a J.D. from the Duke University School of Law in 2007. I then practiced corporate and securities law in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania through 2011. The focus of my practice was mergers and acquisitions, securities offerings, private equity fund formation and corporate governance. On a pro bono basis, I represented the indigent in civil forfeiture actions and, also pro bono, I practiced animal law, with my efforts directed against factory farming and animal cruelty.
While not contemplating the Ultimate Question of Life, the Universe and Everything, I am an animal lover and an avid fan of live music — especially Phish… 48 shows and counting.
My research is currently focused on David Hume's political philosophy.
